*UPDATE #2* Salem Police Locate Wanted Fugitive in Lowell

SALEM — The Salem Police Department reports that DAQUHAN CROMER, a wanted fugitive, has been located and is in police custody.

On Wednesday, Oct. 28, following an extensive search, Massachusetts State Police and U.S. Marshals Service deputies located CROMER in Lowell.

CROMER is in custody in Lowell, where he will face a charge of being a Fugitive from Justice in Massachusetts. Salem Police will seek extradition to have him returned to New Hampshire to face additional charges.

Salem Police and law enforcement partners searched for CROMER late Tuesday night, prompting a temporary shelter-in-place order. Following an extensive search and thorough investigation, police determined that CROMER was no longer in the area where he was last seen in Salem, and the order was lifted.

CROMER was wanted on an escape warrant from New Hampshire State Prison and in connection with multiple felonies in Salem.

Salem Police thank their state and local law enforcement partners from New Hampshire and Massachusetts who assisted in the search for and apprehension of CROMER.
