Salem Police Seeking Suspect in Armed Robbery

SALEM, New Hampshire — Chief Joel Dolan reports that Salem Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery at the Mall at Rockingham Park on Friday.

On Friday, Oct. 9 at approximately 3:10 p.m., Salem Police responded to Newbury Comics in the Mall at Rockingham Park for a reported armed robbery. Following an initial investigation, Salem Police learned that a reported male suspect was allegedly in the process of stealing items from the store when he was approached by an employee.

The male suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the employee before fleeing on foot with multiple vinyl records. The suspect got into the passenger seat of a waiting vehicle, which is believed to have been an older model black Jaguar, that then left the scene. 

The suspect is described as a male with black hair, between 20 and 40 years old, who was wearing blue jeans, a black sweater and a black mask at the time of the incident. He is believed to be between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, and between 180 and 220 pounds.
