Officer-in-Charge Capt. Joel Dolan reports that the Salem Police Department held its annual Memorial Ceremony yesterday.
The Salem Police Department holds the annual ceremony to honor officers across the nation and locally who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
The ceremony was held at the Police Memorial in Pine Grove Cemetery on Thursday. The memorial is engraved with the names of officers who have died while serving and protecting the Town of Salem.
Capt. Dolan and Town Manager Chris Dillon spoke at the event. A wreath was laid by Capt. Dolan and Officer Sean Marino at the memorial, and the names of fallen officers were read aloud to those in attendance.
